Auntie M’s Café

Brown House opened in May of 2004 with the Cheryl’s daughter, Melissa, by her side as both partner and inspiration. She was just 26 when she passed in January 2006, but in her short life she left a mark that still fills these walls every single day.

Melissa was full of life, laughter, and vision. A welcoming café space — a place to gather, linger, and connect — was always part of what she imagined for Brown House.

In 2022, the indoor dining room reopened as Auntie M’s Café, named after the nickname her nephew Danny lovingly gave her. The name is a quiet tribute to her spirit and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.

When you sit here, you’re not just in a dining room — you’re part of something built with heart.

What a great little place. I drove an hour just to go here for the baked goods and breakfast. It was worth every minute. The breakfast burrito is very large and very very good. She has a great selection of baked goods, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls, muffins, and pecan sticky buns. The lunch sandwiches are equally as good. The place is kind of off the beaten path a bit, but worth the effort to get there. Her prices are more than reasonable. Make the trip. You won't be sorry.
